The Satin Black Blackout Build

FULL COLOR CHANGE — 3M SATIN BLACK VINYL WRAP

Every exterior panel was wrapped in 3M satin black vinyl for a complete color transformation. The finish delivers a deep, matte-satin flatness that swallows light and lets the Levante's body lines do the talking. Panel edges and complex curves were wrapped tight and clean for a factory-seamless result.

FEYNLAB VINYL CERAMIC COATING

The freshly wrapped surface was sealed with Feynlab Vinyl coating, a ceramic layer engineered specifically for wrapped finishes. It locks in the satin texture, adds hydrophobic protection, and makes maintenance dramatically easier without ever glossing over the matte look. This is how a satin wrap stays looking new.

GLOSS BLACK POWDER-COATED WHEELS

The factory wheels were stripped and refinished in Prismatic Powders Gloss Black for a durable, high-shine contrast against the satin body. The powder coat process delivers a finish far tougher than paint, standing up to brake dust, road grime, and daily abuse. Wet-look gloss against flat satin is the detail that sells the whole build.

YELLOW PAINTED CALIPERS

The brake calipers were painted a bold yellow, adding the one deliberate pop of color in an all-blacked-out build. Peeking through the gloss black spokes, they add motorsport attitude and break up the monochrome. It's the accent that makes people look twice.

WINDOW TINT

A matched window tint completes the blackout, pulling the glass into the same shadowy palette as the body. The result is a cohesive, tinted-out silhouette with added privacy and heat rejection. Nothing distracts from the satin black statement.

Project Summary

The owner of this 2018 Maserati Levante came to Lux Auto Studio with a clear mission: full transformation, zero blending in. The Levante already carried presence — the goal was to darken it down, sharpen it up, and give it a signature that would turn heads in any parking lot. Rather than a simple accent job, this was a top-to-bottom reimagining of the SUV's entire visual identity. The brief was blackout everything, then plant one unmistakable flag of color.

The Build

We started with a full color change, wrapping every exterior panel in 3M satin black vinyl for that deep, flat, light-eating finish. Once the wrap was laid and the edges dialed in, we sealed the entire surface with Feynlab Vinyl ceramic coating to protect the satin texture and lock in long-term durability. The factory wheels were then powder coated in Prismatic Powders Gloss Black, creating a wet-gloss contrast against the matte body, while the brake calipers were painted a bold yellow for a single, deliberate hit of color behind the spokes. A matched window tint tied the glass into the darkened palette, completing the blackout. The result is a Levante that reads as one continuous shadow — punctuated only by chrome accents and those yellow calipers — exactly the kind of build that never blends in.
