BMW i7

The Two-Tone Gloss GT Silver Build

Custom build completed at Lux Auto Studio in Marlboro, New Jersey.

scope of work

TWO-TONE GLOSS GT SILVER PPF
The upper body — hood, roof, trunk, and shoulder lines — was wrapped in Inozetek DPPF709 Gloss GT Silver, played against the factory black lower panels for a commanding two-tone presence. The silver carries a deep, liquid gloss that shifts with the light and reads show-ready from any angle. Every panel break was mapped so the color split follows the I7's natural body lines.
FULL PROTECTION FILM COVERAGE
This is paint protection film, not vinyl — so the dramatic finish doubles as a self-healing shield against rock chips, swirls, and road debris. The GT Silver sections guard the highest-impact surfaces while preserving the factory finish underneath. Protection and style in a single layer.
PRECISION PANEL WRAPPING & EDGE WORK
Each piece was wrapped with tucked and wrapped edges for a seamless, OEM-grade result with no lifted corners or exposed film lines. Tight areas around the mirrors, A-pillars, and roof transitions were handled by hand to keep the gloss uninterrupted. The close-up panel shots show razor-clean color breaks where silver meets black.
SHOW-READY FINAL FINISH
The completed I7 was detailed and inspected to a show standard before delivery. Reflections run clean and distortion-free across the hood and roof, and the two-tone contrast makes the long sedan silhouette impossible to ignore in a parking lot full of blacked-out luxury cars.

Project Summary

The owner of a 2026 BMW i7 came to Lux Auto Studio with a simple directive: make it stand out without losing an ounce of elegance. A flagship electric sedan already turns heads, but this client wanted a finish no one else on the road would have. We proposed a two-tone treatment in Inozetek Gloss GT Silver — a color with the depth of liquid metal and the attitude to match the i7's bold front end. The goal was a show-ready car that still looked factory-intentional, not costume.

The Build

We wrapped the upper surfaces of the i7 — hood, roof, trunk lid, and the upper shoulder line — in Inozetek DPPF709 Gloss GT Silver, letting the factory black lower body anchor the design. Because this is a protection film, the GT Silver sections also take the brunt of rock chips and road wear while self-healing light swirls. Every panel was wrapped with tucked edges and mapped color breaks so the silver-to-black transition tracks the car's natural lines, from the A-pillars down through the rockers. Tight zones around the mirror caps, roof rails, and quarter glass were finished by hand to keep the gloss seamless. The result is a liquid-metal top half that mirrors the sky and a blacked-out foundation that grounds the whole build. Parked next to anything else, this i7 never blends in.
